The project's design for this Koh Samui hideaway is based on the idea of a place where one can escape to a place of tranquility, where one can reconnect with old memories in an intimate setting and enjoy the serenity of discovery.
Location
The resort's public spaces are arranged around a central courtyard and pool, which serve as its social hub. The arrangement of plants in the dining areas, lounges, and circulation paths helps to soften the hard edges of the building's architecture. Villas and guest rooms are arranged so that guests can enjoy some seclusion while still having a good view of the common areas.
During the evening, when the restaurant and outdoor seating areas are bathed in warm lighting and made of natural materials, the ambiance is enhanced, creating an intimate and romantic setting.
The use of genuine and tactile materials is prioritized. A subdued color scheme complements the plastered walls, natural stone, wood, woven furnishings, and artisanal touches.
